Managing Your Local Search and Review Site Listings
Online review sites are becoming more and more important in the buying decisions of consumers. If you own a local business, you should see this as a real opportunity.
A family searching for a restaurant, for example, lands on a Google results page where a couple of things are happening. First, of course, they should see your restaurant (if that happens to be your business) on the top half of the first page of Google. If not, call us to claim and optimize your Google My Business listing for you.
Second, in that listing, this family should see four or five starts, based on a healthy number of reviews.
The key here is to recognize that you are not at the mercy of the public for those reviews. There are techniques we can employ on your behalf to elicit those reviews and make your listing more appealing.
Reviews are not only on Google, of course. Whether it is Yelp, or Urbanspoon, or any of a number of review sites, you have the opportunity to “claim” your pages, and actually use those sites (in varying degrees) as advertising for your business.
