Well, that was a frustrating journey.
I added a new static HTML page to one of my Facebook Pages. Added my content to the page, went to change the icon on the tab to my custom icon, and BAM….a random image appeared.
Multiple attempts at insuring that it was not user error.
Tried several HTML apps. Same result–a random image appeared in my tab.
Tried several browsers. Same result–a random image appeared in my tab.
Tried a different Facebook page. Same result–a random image appeared in my tab.
Decided I must have a virus. Crap. That really pisses me off! (Yeah, people who create viruses should be castrated. Scum. I mean, you know…..I say that with nothing but love in my heart.)
Malwarebytes full scan now over two hours, and counting…
Oh, wait….I don’t have a virus, after all! Look what I finally stumbled across – this is a bug.
So I am not going nuts.
I did find out that if I just repeatedly do the right thing, eventually I get “lucky” and the correct image appears. So until this Facebook page bug gets fixed, that is the workaround.
Anyone else seeing this problem?
